to be honest, ollie didn't know what sealstones were. he just knew that rocket knew where they were, and he had to get to them. before they did.

[break][break] it was unfortunate, because ollie didn't really consider himself a competitive person. even when it came to the factional war between rocket and the league, he liked to consider himself neutral.

[break][break] but with everything he had seen in kanto with Eva Morales , and everything pa had told them, he couldn't really deny the importance of his role in the war.

[break][break] in his hand, he gripped the stone that his father had gifted him. 'to protect eva,' he'd said. at the time, ollie had wanted to laugh at it - knowing very well that his sister didn't need to be protected. she had a mcfreaking diety to do that for her. but even so, between father and son, ollie had known what pa had meant.

[break][break] "okay," he whispers to the pikachu on his shoulder as he hides behind a rock in the undersea. "we gotta be quiet, buddy."

[break][break] in the distance, there was the shadow of another person. alone. and definitely a rocket.

Perhaps it was because of the unfamiliar surroundings that caused Asriel to lose his edge. Normally it took someone very skilled to actually manage to catch him off guard.

Following a map of the general area where the sealstones were first discovered, Asriel ventures deeper into the realm - an unsettling sensation closely clutching his heart. For Ollie, Asriel most likely appeared to be very unguarded as the rocket member didn't have a single pokemon at his side. However Asriel was prepared for almost anything - just not a sneak attack.

Asriel's head throbs with each step he draws near the sealstone. His vision blurs which causes him to walk uneasily. He rests an arm against the hard cavern walls, deciding to take a momentary rest.

This was the perfect chance for an attack.

[attr="class","littleollie"] unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for Asriel Pryde , ollie was not much of an attacker. or at the very least, he wasn't an ambusher.

[break][break] it was why he had chosen the ranger path to begin with, not to be confused by the hardcore trainer or officer route.

[break][break] he continues to follow the rocket through the smog, swimming along the deep sea. his heart lurches for a moment when he thinks that the rocket has seen him - diving quick behind a rock.

[break][break] tofu - his pikachu - is not so quick on the uptake.

[break][break] the pikachu blinks at the rocket who is staring at the map in front of him, his little cheeks crackling bright with electricity.

[break][break] 'tofu, no!'

[break][break] it's too late. electricity crackles their way, a THUNDER WAVE zapping with vicious speed towards the rocket grunt.

Panging throbs cause Asriel to clutch his head in annoyance. He wasn't sure as to what it's cause was, but one suspicion was it was something within this realm. By the time Asriel notices the oncoming attack from Ollie's pikachu - it was to late for him. The tremendous speed would prove to be impossible to dodge.

It strikes him with full force, and his previous head pains are replaced with an intense electric shock pulsing throughout his entire body. Asriel grits his teeth in pain - groaning and mumbling loudly as the attack continued it's course. It leaves him briefly paralyzed leaving him rather vulnerable to his unknown attacker.

However instead of trying to flee, Asriel puts on an act. Forcibly falling onto the cold rock floor as he pretends to be incapacitated. His plan was to trick his attacker and go on the offense when approached. If it didn't work he would have to resort to other measures.

[break][break] "tofu!" he hissed. "what did you do?"

[break][break] ollie immediately swims out from the rock cropping that he had been hiding behind. he pushes against the unusual sea, sending a withering look in tofu's direction. his feet land on the ground with a soft 'puff' as he crouches near the rocket and tries to see if the guy is still breathing.

Ollie was falling right for his act. Everything was going how Asriel predicted, all he needed to do now was to remain patient and the perfect opportunity for a counter-attack will arrive. It was going a little too smoothly - he was a little shocked when Ollie came to check on his well being. Perhaps he thought of them to highly.

Asriel attacks instantly - tackling Ollie with plenty of force and wrestling with him until he was pinned onto the cold cavern floor. "You're gonna regret not finishing me off, pretty boy." He states in a hushed voice a twisted smile forming on his face. Loosening the grip he had on Ollie, Asriel uses his right arm to try and clobber him with a punch to the head.

[break][break] his words are garbled as the aforementioned "injured" recruit attacks him. a sound of disgruntled effort sounds as ollie suddenly grapples with the other. although he's physically bigger and bulkier, Asriel Pryde has the easy advantage on both skill and more importantly, surprise.

[break][break] the punch collides into them without effort, agony searing through his skull.

[break][break] ollie's head thudded painfully against the cold cavern floor, the world spinning before him.

[break][break] suddenly, his URSARING releases itself from his ball to defend his trainer. with a menacing roar, butter SLASHES down on the rocket.

Asriel's hands tightly wrap around ollie's neck he's just about to strangle the life from him when suddenly - an ursaring comes to it's trainers aide. The bear pokemon's mighty claws heading straight towards him, luckily for Asriel he manages to evade just in time but not completely.

The slash attack inflicts a nasty cut to Asriel's neck. Blood is quick to spill from the injury and Asriel is forced to retreat in order to take care of the bleeding before he loses to much blood. Groaning with pain he curses audibly as he does a hasty job in applying a bandage to the wound.

However the blood loss is affecting him and he stumbles to the ground, still conscious he rests against the cavern walls.
